Ferroviario Beira seal BAL 2023 appearance as they edged Urunani in the Semifinal of the East Division. Mozambican team posted a 68-62 win in Johannesburg. Both teams exchanged the wins in the first half that gave Ferroviario Beira a narrow 29-28 lead at the halftime. Moreover, they added a 19-16 rally in the third quarter and closed the game with a final 20-18 run.
Helton Ubisse (201-C-1995) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and 13 rebounds, whilst William Perry (182-PG-1994, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) had 14. Malick Ngenzahayo (176-G-1996) replied with 16 points in a loss and Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-C-1994, college: Towson) as well as Guibert Nijimbere (186-PG-1995) netted 11 apiece.
